Anja Kelly (she/her) is a soprano and music educator based in Vancouver, holding a B.Mus in Voice Performance from UBC. She teaches Voice lessons to students of all ages and experience in Classical, Pop and Musical Theatre styles, and she conducts numerous Elementary school choirs across Metro Vancouver. Anja is a member of musica intima, Vanix Trio, Intertidal Choral Ensemble and an occasional hire for the Vancouver Chamber Choir. She is also currently involved in Turning Point Ensemble’s Defining Voices project, designed to create new works for solo voice and chamber orchestra.
At the core of both Anja’s performance and teaching practices is that music is a vessel for profound storytelling, and is at its best when born out of community.
Whether she is teaching Voice lessons or Choir, she encourages her students to make music that sparks joy and creativity, while building strong musical and technical foundations. Everyone has a voice worth sharing and Anja creates a safe space to use it.
