Have you always wanted to learn to read music?
Do you want to meet people who love music and like learning new things?
No previous theory / note reading experience required!
Each week in a fun and interactive environment you will learn about the fundamental elements of music: beat, rhythm, tempo and dynamics.
Enjoy interesting discussions on music whilst developing music reading skills, and a basic understanding of music theory, including learning solfege (do-re-mi) and two part songs from around the world.
Classes starts with the simplest musicianship and progress to the more complex through small logical steps.
Hailing from Quesnel BC, Erin is a classically trained soprano.
Since coming to Vancouver, Erin has performed extensively locally and throughout BC. Some of her credits include performing as a soloist in the Quesnel Annual Festival, and with the West Coast Symphony.
She is also a member of several choirs such as the Madrigal Singers, under the direction of Gerald Van Wyck, and Sarabande, conducted by Paula Kremer. She has also received many scholarships and accolades including the prestigious Morag Cuthbertson Scholarship for her exceptional work in her field.
